About Butch Immediato
Butch became a member as a Surveyor Associate of (SAMS) Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors in 2005 and attained the status of Accredited Marine Surveyor in 2010.

One of his early influences came from studying "David Pascoe" Surveying Fiberglass Power Boats. He mentored with a senior Accredited Marine Surveyor SAMS Member from 2004 to 2006, learning how to survey, evaluate, and inventory yachts and small boats. He gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and Experience by having the honor to shadow the AMS Joyce Nolen of Northeast Maryland.

He mentored with marine technician Sam Reynolds from 2004-ongoing to expand knowledge on small craft engines and mechanical systems.

Butch has had a long and diversified career, some of which is detailed as follows:
  • Enlisted in the United States Navy, served on board of a 160 Foot Research vessel as a diesel mechanic oiler servicing 16V396 MTU mains and Ships service diesel generator and auxiliary equipment.
  • 6 years experience in the United States Navy in the engineering maintenance and management achieving the rank of Gas Turbine Systems Electrician Third Class Petty Officer.
  • Qualified Electric Plant Console Operator on a DDG-51 Class Destroyer.
  • Conducted operational maintenance on emergency diesel generators and small craft propulsion diesel engines.
  • Earned the (ESWS) Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist Pin.
  • Qualified hydraulic technician and operator for ships steering system.
  • Qualified as power plant operator for coke fired steam generating station.
  • Completed 5 year apprenticeship as a qualified maintenance operator(2007) at a "dual block"1100 mega watt combined cycle gas turbine generation complex performing duties from realigning rotating equipment, from operating units from turning gear to full load within 2 hour parameter.
  • Promoted to Power plant maintenance planner/scheduler at 1100 Megawatt combined cycle power plant. This position is responsible for scheduling preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to the plants vital gas turbine and steam turbines machinery and ancillary equipment.
